IMMI’s Sub Zero Controlled Decelerator is the only restraint that gives you the secure feeling of a racing harness with innovative protection you won’t find anywhere else. Other 4- and 5-point harnesses can cause submarining, meaning you slide forward and underneath the harness during a crash. Submarining leads to more severe injuries to your head, neck, and internal organs. Sub Zero eliminates submarining through controlled deceleration technology, which softens the impact of a crash on your body.

Sub Zero FAQs
Q: Why is Sub Zero safer than traditional 4- and 5-point harnesses?
+ ×A: UTV’s are made to operate in very rugged environments and are designed with very stiff frames to survive in those conditions. Unlike automobiles, UTVs do not have crumple zones to absorb crash forces. IMMI’s Sub Zero harness compensates for the missing crumple zones in a UTV by adding a “controlled decelerator” to the harness. It effectively reduces the crash forces felt by a human body resulting in better protection of the head, neck and chest. Testing shows significant reduction in injury potential in frontal collisions. As an additional benefit, Sub Zero helps keep the body positioned properly to reduce sliding under the harness, called submarining. Submarining can cause more serious injury to the head, neck and internal organs. No other harnesses in the UTV industry offers this benefit.
