The M.A.R.S. stands for the MBrace & RollTek System, an integrated safety solution engineered to protect soldiers and warfighters inside military vehicles, particularly during high-risk scenarios like rollovers.
M.A.R.S combines two key technologies, MBrace and RollTek, to enhance protection. In the event of an irrecoverable rollover condition, RollTek swiftly secures occupants with seatbelt tensioners and deploys side airbags, reducing the risk of injury. Simultaneously, MBrace’s airbag safety system provides additional head and neck protection.
Together, these technologies work seamlessly to provide a comprehensive safety net, minimizing injuries and ensuring the well-being of military personnel within various military vehicles, such as the HMMWV (Humvee), thus enhancing their operational readiness and survivability in challenging combat environments.
